WRC 2007 Agenda Item Details

Agenda Item: Resolution 221
Resolution(s): Resolution 221
Description of work: This resolution covers operation of high altitude platform stations (HAPS) providing IMT-2000 services in bands around 2 GHz. It identifies pfd limits that HAPS stations must meet to protect terrestrial services, plus some gain patterns and out-of-band pfd masks. It invites study within the ITU-R of guidance to facilitate consultation with neighbouring administrations.
Lead Working Party(s): WP 8F
Involved Working Parties: WP 8F, WP 9D
How Visualyse products can help: Visualyse Professional can be used to model HAPS systems providing IMT-2000 services, and analyse the impact of such systems with terrestrial services both in-band and out-of-band, including assessing interference into services of neighbouring administrations.
How Transfinite consultants can help: We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this resolution, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at relevant ITU-R Working Parties or during bilateral coordinations.
