WRC 2007 Agenda Item Details

Agenda Item: Resolution 136
Resolution(s): Resolution 136
Description of work: This resolution relates to frequency sharing between GSO and non-GSO FSS networks in the range 37.5 - 50.2 GHz. It calls for studies of technical, operational, and regulatory studies of sharing arrangements in time for WRC-10 including issues such as avoiding in-line events, diversity, adaptive coding, link balancing, epfd limits, and off-axis eirp limits.
Lead Working Party(s): WP 4A
Involved Working Parties: WP 4A, 4-9S
How Visualyse products can help: Visualyse Professional can be used to analyse sharing between GSO and non-GSO FSS networks, considering details such as tracking strategies, link balancing, epfd, availability, sticky beams and fixed beam systems.
How Transfinite consultants can help: We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this resolution, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at relevant ITU-R Working Parties. We have extensive experience in this issue from many studies analysing sharing between non-GSO FSS systems and the impact of non-GSO FSS into GSO FSS systems.
