WRC 2019 Agenda Item Details
Agenda Item: | Agenda Item 1.15 |
Resolution(s): | Resolution 767 [COM6/14] (WRC-15) |
Description of work: | This agenda item relates to consideration of identification of frequency bands for use by administrations for the land-mobile and fixed services applications operating in the frequency range 275-450 GHz, in accordance with Resolution 767 [COM6/14] (WRC-15). The ITU-R is invited to:
|
Comments: | Note that for frequencies above 275 GHz there are not standard ITU-R service allocations. Rather, frequency bands are "identified" for services via footnote 5.565, which currently includes identification for the radio astronomy service, the EESS (passive) and space research (passive) services. |
Lead Working Party(s): | WP 1A |
Involved Working Parties: | WP 3J, WP 3K, WP 3M, WP 4A, WP 5A, WP 5C, WP 5D, WP 6A, WP 7C, WP 7D |
How Visualyse products can help: | Visualyse Professional can model a wide range of scenarios including those involving the land-mobile, fixed and passive services. It is very flexible, designed upon basic building blocks of antennas, stations and links which enables it to model new services for which technical and operational characteristics are being developed. It has no inherent limits in terms of frequency range and Transfinite works closely with Study Group 3 experts to ensure that our propagation models are accurate and up to date. For example, we were the first commercial study tool to have an implementation of the model in P.2001. |
How Transfinite consultants can help: | We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this agenda item, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at the ITU-R WPs. Using our in house Visualyse Professional we can quickly model a very wide range of systems, services and scenarios. |
