WRC 2027 Agenda Item Details
Agenda Item: | Agenda Item 1.18 |
Resolution(s): | Resolution 712 (WRC-19) |
Description of work: | This agenda item is to consider, based on the results of ITU Radiocommunication Sector studies, possible regulatory measures regarding the protection of the Earth exploration-satellite service (passive) and the radio astronomy service in certain frequency bands above 76 GHz from unwanted emissions of active services, in accordance with Resolution 712. The ITU-R is invited to: 1. study compatibility between the EESS(passive) and the corresponding active services in adjacent bands as listed below:
2. study compatibility between the RAS and the corresponding active services in adjacent bands as listed below:
WRC-27 is invited to determine, based on the results of studies, any required regulatory measures regarding the protection of the EESS(passive) and RAS for the frequency bands listed above. |
Lead Working Party(s): | WP 7C, WP 7D |
Involved Working Parties: | WP 3J, WP 3M, WP 4A, WP 4C, WP 5A, WP 5B, WP 5C |
How Visualyse products can help: | Visualyse Professional can model the EESS(passive) and RAS services and those active services that could be considered under this agenda item including the FS, MS, FSS, MSS, ISS, RNS and RNSS. Visualyse can model the protection criteria used by the EESS(passive) based upon percentage of time or area and also protection criteria used by the RAS such as EPFD. It includes a library of propagation models and undertake analysis using static, area, dynamic or Monte Carlo methods for both co-frequency and non-co-frequency scenarios. |
How Transfinite consultants can help: | We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the different services covered by this agenda item including EESS(passive), radioastronomy, FS, MS, FSS, MSS, ISS, RNS and RNSS. We can help identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criteria, and provide contributions and representation at ITU-R Working Parties. Using our in house Visualyse Professional we can quickly model a very wide range of systems, services and scenarios. |
