Resolution 951 [COM7/2] |
Description of work: |
This resolution is related to the issue of terrestrial wireless interactive multimedia (TWIM) systems, that could operate across traditional service boundaries, using a range of emerging technologies. It calls for studies to examine the effectiveness, appropriateness, and impact of the Radio Regulations with respect to these new systems. The results of these studies are to be included in the Director of the BR's Report to WRC-07 to allow consideration of this subject on a future conference agenda. How Visualyse products can help: |
Visualyse Professional can model the new services and how they could share with existing services that could operate in-band or out-of-band, including mobile, fixed, broadcasting, standards such as GSM, IMT-2000, TETRA, Tetrapol, DVB, and architectures such as P-P, P-MP, and MP-MP. |
How Transfinite consultants can help: |
We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this resolution, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at relevant ITU-R Working Parties. We have a good understanding of the issues of sharing between these new applications, and the standards involved. |
