| Description of work: |
This agenda item relates to the 2 500 - 2690 MHz band, which could be used by satellite services including MSS and BSS, including HEO BSS (sound). It calls for studies to review the technical operational and regulatory provisions that would facilitate sharing of these satellite services wit current and future satellite services (for example IMT-2000). Other services with allocations in this band include the fixed service and fixed satellite service. At CPM on 8th July 2003 it was decided not to list the interested Working Parties to avoid duplication of work done within this group. |

We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this agenda item, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at relevant ITU-R Working Parties. We extensive experience of sharing in this band having undertaken a study of sharing between GSO and HEO BSS (sound) and terrestrial IMT-2000, and two studies of sharing between terrestrial and satellite components of IMT-2000. |
