Visualyse™ Interplanetary Demo Installation Guide
Visualyse™ Interplanetary should run on most newer PCs but the following table represents what Transfinite Systems considers to be the minimum and recommended system specifications.
|CPU||3.0+ GHz Multi-Core||Intel Core i7/i9/Xeon 3.6+ GHz|
|RAM||4 GB||8+ GB|
|Operating System||Microsoft Windows 10/11 64 Bit||Microsoft Windows 10/11 64 Bit|
|3D Graphics Card||OpenGL compatible Video Card with 256 MB VRAM||OpenGL compatible Video Card with 2GB+ on-board VRAM|
|Hard Disk Space||500 MB||4+ GB (SSD)|
|Display||1280*1024||1920*1080 and above|
Whilst it is possible to run Visualyse™ Interplanetary in virtualised environments (VMware, Parallels etc.) it is not something we generally recommend as users may find the software performance is not acceptable when compared to running on native hardware.
Remote Desktop Connections (RDC) can be used provided the host is sufficiently powerful and has a graphics card that supports OpenGL over RDC.
Visualyse™ Interplanetary uses Open GL technology to greatly improve the graphical representation of the 2D and 3D maps. Graphics cards with small amounts of VRAM or graphics integrated on the motherboard of desktop and laptop PCs may result in an unacceptable Visualyse™ Interplanetary user experience.
Visualyse™ Interplanetary is supported on Microsoft Windows 7 but it does not fully support the Aero graphical user interface so you may need to disable it by following the steps below.
- Right Click on the Microsoft Windows 7 desktop and select “Personalize”.
- Scroll the list of themes down until you see the Basic themes. Select one of these. We recommend “Windows7 Basic”.
- Close the dialog.
You will require “Administrator” privileges to install Visualyse™ Interplanetary and either “Standard User” or “Administrator” privileges to run Visualyse™ Interplanetary.
