WRC 2023 Agenda Item Details
Agenda Item: | Agenda Item 1.10 |
Resolution(s): | Resolution 430 (COM6/9) (WRC-19) |
Description of work: | This agenda item is to conduct studies on spectrum needs, coexistence with radiocommunication services and regulatory measures for possible new allocations for the aeronautical mobile service for the user of non-safety aeronautical mobile applications. The ITU-R is invited to study:
|
Comments: | The frequency band 15.4 - 15.7 GHz is allocated to the radiolocation, aeronautical radionavigation and (part of) the FSS on a primary basis with the adjacent frequency band 15.35 - 15.4 GHz allocated to the radio astronomy service on a primary basis. The frequency band 22 - 22.21 GHz is allocated on a primary basis to the mobile except aeronautical service, and the adjacent frequency band 22.21 - 22.5 GHz is allocated to the radio astronomy service, EESS and SRS passive service on a primary basis |
Lead Working Party(s): | WP 5B |
Involved Working Parties: | WP 3K, WP 3M, WP 4A, WP 5A, WP 5C, WP 7C, WP 7D |
How Visualyse products can help: | Visualyse Professional can model aeronautical systems including air-to-air, ground-to-air or air-to-ground and other co-frequency services such as the FSS. We can also model services in adjacent bands including radio astronomy and other passive services and both co-frequency and non-co-frequency interference paths. A range of modelling methodologies can be used including static and dynamic, and flight paths can be modelled by defining way-points of (lat, long, height) at specified times. |
How Transfinite consultants can help: | We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the station types (ground, Earth, air) and services covered by this agenda item, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criteria, and provide contributions and representation at ITU-R Working Parties. Using our in house Visualyse Professional we can quickly model a very wide range of systems, services and scenarios. |
