WRC 2019 Agenda Item Details
Agenda Item: | Agenda Item 1.2 |
Resolution(s): | Resolution 765 [COM6/7] (WRC-15) |
Description of work: | This agenda item relates to consideration of in-band power limits for earth stations operating in the mobile-satellite service, meteorological-satellite service and Earth exploration-satellite service in the frequency bands 401-403 MHz and 399.9-400.05 MHz, in accordance with Resolution 765 [COM6/7] (WRC-15). |
Comments: | The Resolution notes the increased use of these bands by telecommand that can operate at higher power than data collection systems (DSC) that require continuity of operation and requests studies to consider in-band power limits to protect DCS from harmful interference |
Lead Working Party(s): | WP 7B |
Involved Working Parties: | WP 3M, WP 4C, WP 5A, WP 7C |
How Visualyse products can help: | Visualyse Professional can model satellite services such as MSS, meteorological-satellite service and EESS (both active and passive) and Earth to space and space to Earth links. Analysis can be undertaken using both dynamic or Monte Carlo methods using orbit data taken from ITU SRS filings or TLEs. A range of propagation models could be used including gaseous attenuation. |
How Transfinite consultants can help: | We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this agenda item, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at the ITU-R WPs. Using our in house Visualyse Professional we can quickly model a very wide range of systems, services and scenarios. |
