WRC 2007 Agenda Item Details

Agenda Item: Agenda 1.4
Resolution(s): Resolution 228
Description of work: This wide ranging Agenda Item relates to the further development of IMT-2000 and systems beyond IMT-2000, in particular: i) studies of the requirements for spectrum and potential frequency ranges ii) consideration of spectrum at frequencies below those identified in 5.317A (806 - 960 MHz) iii) that the studies in i) above should take account of benefit to developing countries of the satellite component of IMT-2000; iv) that sharing and compatibility studies should be performed where necessary when considering additional frequency bands for IMT-2000
Lead Working Party(s): WP 8F
Involved Working Parties: WP 3K, WP 4A, WP 6E, WP 6S, WP 7C, WP 7D, WP 8A, WP 8B, WP 8D, WP 8F, WP 9D
How Visualyse products can help: Visualyse Professional can model IMT-2000 sharing with other services, including terrestrial (mobile, fixed, broadcasting, radiolocation, etc) and satellite (mobile, fixed, broadcasting, EESS etc) to identify whether there would be compatibility between IMT-2000 and other services that would permit an allocation to be made for IMT-2000
How Transfinite consultants can help: We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this agenda item, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at relevant ITU-R Working Parties. We have experience from work examining compatibility between terrestrial and satellite components of IMT-2000 in the 2.5 - 2.69 GHz band.
