WRC 2007 Agenda Item Details

Agenda Item: Resolution 901 [COM4/19]
Resolution(s): Resolution 901 [COM4/19]
Description of work: This resolution relates to the extension of the coordination arc concept applied in certain bands to those not yet covered. Table 5-1 in Appendix 5 identifies the methods by which it is determined coordination is required, and for some bands it is based upon DT/T and others the difference in longitude of GSO satellites, described as the coordination arc. This resolution calls for further study as to the applicability of the coordination arc to other bands and services not covered by the existing regulations.
Lead Working Party(s): WP 4A
Involved Working Parties: WP 4A, WP 6S, WP 8D
How Visualyse products can help: We have two products that can assist in this resolution: i) Visualyse GSO can be used to analyse sharing between any sets of satellite networks operating in the Geostationary Orbit, either entering specific characteristics or extracting from BR databases such as IFIC; ii) Visualyse Professional can be used to analyse sharing between the GSO services such as BSS and FSS and any other service.
How Transfinite consultants can help: We can assist you by undertaking studies or providing support whether at the ITU-R or during bilateral or multilateral coordination, using either our Visualyse GSO or Professional products. We can also assist in the preparation of the paper work for a satellite filing in these bands.
